For Romanian Americans, this anniversary carries a particularly meaningful message. Many Romanians came to the United States carrying with them a profound appreciation for freedom. Today, Romanian Americans are proud to contribute to the country they call home while preserving the traditions, culture, faith, and heritage passed down through generations.
As America celebrates 250 years since the Declaration of Independence, we remember the enduring words and principles that helped shape this extraordinary nation: life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness.
These ideals have inspired people far beyond America's borders. They have given hope to generations who experienced dictatorship, communism, political oppression, and the denial of fundamental freedoms.
